Our house move finally arrived, after 2 years of trying to sell our house and 9 weeks of actual negotiations, we moved into our new home on June 8th 2006. It took 3 days to completely move all our things, 4 Luton vans loads, my mum & dad and my brother-in-law Terry helped us with this physically hard task as Jamie, still suffering with a slip disk, is unable to help. We were lucky enough to have been given access to our new house before the completion date so on the day all we had to do was pack our toothbrush's and leave our old house in Newbury. The journey down to Wiltshire was quick and easy and took just 45 minutes.

The dogs are in seventh heaven with just over an Acre of back gardens to run around in and approximately 40 acres of wild flower fields surrounding our garden to which we have unlimited access for walks. I've put some of the pictures of our new garden and onto a new page for you to see if you wish.

In our new garden we have 1 Walnut tree, 2 Pear trees, 3 Plum trees, 6 Apple trees, 8 Greengage trees, and a Willow Tree (I'm sure theirs a partridge out there somewhere). We also have a large pond (which has already had a visit from 2 out of the 3 dogs) the 15 new fish which we bought just hours before were not impressed by the 8 feet which decided to tramp through the pond and disturb their peace and quiet. We also have in our pond Great Crested Newts, Frogs & Tadpoles, pond snails, red, green & blue damsel fly's , pond skaters, water boatmen and some very big black & yellow dragon flies. It's a lovely haven of wildlife which I'm sure I'll spend hours sitting by. Jamie has been busy taking loads of photo's some of which I've included for you to see. We've been told by the previous owners that deer, badgers and a fox visit the garden frequently during the early morning and late evening and we've already seen loads of wild rabbits hoping in and out.

We have the very important task of fencing and securing the garden which we hope to get done over the next week, then the dogs can run free without the restrictions of a lead. Some of our neighbours, of which there are only five, have met the dogs and have had the usual questions, which I have dutifully answered.

The dogs really seem to enjoy the new open space that our move has provided for them and the children seem to be lost with so much space to explore. We would like to thank everyone who has sent us notes and wishes of good luck for our move, it is very much appreciated.
